Why long stays aren't booked on a calendar
A nightly booking engine prices each night the same way whether you stay three nights or three months. That's fine for a week's holiday and wrong for a season. Long stays change the maths on both sides: your villa needs fewer changeovers, less marketing and no gaps — and you should see that reflected in the rate. It also changes what's practical to include: laundry, deeper cleaning schedules, utilities, a workspace setup, airport pickup. None of that fits into a checkout flow, so we do it by conversation.

What a long stay actually involves
Utilities and internet. Long stays are usually quoted with a utility arrangement rather than an all-in nightly rate — we'll spell out exactly which side pays for what before you commit. Every villa has fibre or a dedicated connection; if you work online, ask us for the speed at your specific villa rather than an island-wide claim.
Housekeeping and pool. Pools need servicing whether you're there or not, and that continues through your stay. Cleaning frequency is set to suit you rather than a hotel schedule.
Flexibility. Plans change on long stays more than on holidays. Talk to us about what happens if you need to extend, shorten, or leave the island for a few weeks — it's easier to agree upfront than to renegotiate later.
What we won't do. We don't give visa or immigration advice. Check your situation with Indonesian immigration's official channels or a licensed agent before you commit to dates.
Best months for a long stay
The wet season, November through March, is when long stays make the most sense: villas are quietest, rates are at their annual floor, and the rain arrives in short afternoon bursts rather than all-day grey. That window is why wintering in Bali works so well for people escaping a northern winter. April, May and October are the shoulder sweet spots — dry-season weather without peak-season crowds. July and August are the hardest months to secure a long stay at a good rate, so ask early.
