The clinic tier
Canggu and its surrounds host modern private clinics — English-speaking GPs, 24-hour urgent care, IV rehydration (the Bali-belly special), stitches and scooter-scrape service — 15–20 minutes from Seseh. Consultations run IDR 500k–1m; many clinics send home-visit doctors to villas for roughly the same, which is the correct choice when moving feels ambitious. Your villa manager has the numbers saved — asking them is step one.
Pharmacies and the small stuff
Apotek (pharmacies) dot Pererenan and Canggu, stocking most essentials without ceremony; pharmacists advise competently on the routine ailments. Sunscreen, rehydration salts (oralit), antihistamines and motion-sickness tabs cost little. Dental and bigger care
Canggu and Seminyak carry modern dental clinics at prices that make some visitors schedule cleanings on holiday. For genuine emergencies, international-standard hospitals sit in Denpasar and Nusa Dua (BIMC, Siloam) 45–75 minutes away — which is why the next paragraph matters more than any other on this page.
Insurance: the paragraph that pays for itself
Travel insurance with medical evacuation is non-negotiable for Bali, and scooter coverage requires a valid motorcycle licence — ride unlicensed and most policies void exactly when needed.
