Seseh has quietly become one of Bali's most rewarding places to base a trip: a black-sand beach, rice fields and private-pool villas, with Canggu's cafés only a short drive away. Here's what to know before you book.
Where Seseh is
Seseh sits on Bali's southwest coast, just north of Pererenan and Canggu, and is part of the island's so-called Pink Tourism Zone. It's roughly a 45–60 minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, about 15 minutes from the Tanah Lot sea temple, and 15–20 minutes from the cafés and beach clubs of Pererenan and Canggu. The beach
Seseh and neighbouring Cemagi share a wide, dramatic black-sand beach that stays far quieter than Canggu's surf spots. It's a place for long walks, surf and big sunsets rather than rows of sun-loungers — part of what makes a Seseh stay feel restful.

Seseh itself is residential and calm, with a growing handful of cafés and warungs. For more choice, Pererenan — a few minutes south — has become one of Bali's best café and dining strips, and Canggu adds beach clubs, restaurants and nightlife. Popular things to do from a Seseh base include:
