Where to Eat in Uluwatu

From Labuan Sait warungs to clifftop sunset tables — eating well on the Bukit.

Food Guide · Updated July 2026 · by Casa Living Bali

Uluwatu eats better every season. The spine is Jalan Labuan Sait — the road past Padang Padang and Thomas Beach — where warungs, coffee roasters and surfer-fuel kitchens line up minutes from our villas. Then there are the cliffs.

The Labuan Sait strip

Within a few minutes of Casa Padang Padang you'll find generations-old nasi campur counters beside smoothie-bowl cafés, wood-fired pizza, poke, and espresso that would pass in Melbourne. It's cheaper and more relaxed than Canggu, keeps surfer hours (early breakfasts, early dinners), and most places are scooter-parking simple. Local tip: the humble warungs closest to the beach stairs often beat the Instagram spots on flavour.

Clifftop and sunset dining

For occasion dinners, the clifftop restaurants between Padang Padang and Uluwatu Temple serve seafood and cocktails a hundred metres above the break — book ahead for sunset tables in high season. The beach clubs at Melasti and Dreamland make lazy lunch-to-sunset days, and the fish barbecues down at Jimbaran Bay (~25 minutes) remain Bali's classic toes-in-sand dinner.

Eating in

All four of our villas have full kitchens, and Balinest's team can arrange grocery pre-stocking or in-villa meals — rooftop dinner above your own plunge pool is a strong argument against ever booking a table. See the villas →

Names to know on Labuan Sait (as of mid-2026)

Within walking distance of Padang Padang: Suka Espresso is the default coffee-and-brunch stop; Bukit Cafe does hearty breakfasts and golden lattes; La Baracca serves honest Italian from its rustic shed; Om Burger, The Mango Tree and Nalu Bowls cover the post-surf food groups. For local plates, Yeye's Warung has fed surfers between Padang Padang and Suluban for over 25 years, and Satu Uluwatu gives the warung format a stylish buffet-counter update. All of these sit minutes from Casa Padang Padang — most on foot.
