The fix is geographic: the quiet coast stays quiet. While Canggu queues, Seseh's beach at sunset still counts its visitors in dozens.
What's on
School holidays across Australia, Europe and Indonesia converge. Book villas two to three months out, restaurants a few days out, and drivers for big day-trips a day or two ahead. Ceremony life continues regardless of tourism — July processions to the sea are a regular sight on the Seseh–Cemagi coast.
Surf in July
Prime time: the famous reefs — Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Bingin — receive their biggest, most consistent swell; the Padang Padang tube contests wait for exactly these weeks. Beach breaks like Seseh hold clean overhead days. Experts feast; improvers should surf mornings and pick their days.
