June brings the dry season's finest weather: the coolest, crispest air of the year (by Bali standards — still shorts weather), reliably sunny days and the kind of light that makes photographers overshoot. The island fills gradually as Australian school holidays begin late in the month, but early-to-mid June still feels like shoulder season.
What's on
The Bali Arts Festival kicks off in Denpasar mid-June — a month of nightly performances if you want a cultural excursion. Village ceremony life continues; sunset at the coast temples near Seseh gets its clearest skies of the year.
Surf in June
Swell machine on: June is when the Indian Ocean starts sending the serious lines that make Uluwatu and Padang Padang world-famous, while Seseh and Munggu serve punchy beach-break days for mortals. Book surf guides ahead from late June.
The verdict
Come in June — early June especially — for peak-quality weather before peak-season pricing fully lands. Skip late June only if you're crowd-averse and can come in May instead.
